Facilities Access

In order to gain access to many research buildings and facilities, including those facilities housing animals, identification cards and key (access) cards must be obtained.

Note: The University and UPMC issue separate access cards; these cards are not interchangable.

• Determine which buildings and facilities you will need to access to perform your research.
  


• Obtain the proper authorization to enter buildings managed by the University of Pittsburgh or the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center(UPMC) department administrator or chairman.
